Use Database Monitors to Trigger Events in EBI
TAGS: EXTOL Business Integrator / EXTOL Event / EXTOL Database /
Users of the following databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and IBM DB2i can implement Database Monitors to trigger events in EXTOL Business Integrator.
Database Monitors can monitor for a specific database action and then trigger a business process in EBI. These business processes can be used to transform application data, trigger an EBI webservice (SOAP/REST), and other EBI events.
The Database Monitor Editor implements monitors by deploying triggers to the monitored DBMS. The triggers invoke a local stored procedure that passes event signals to EBI using web services. Using Database Monitors requires no coding, DBMS-specific knowledge, or DBA intervention.
